Description: First edition, first printing.  In publisher's brown boards. The book is square and tight with clean, unfaded boards. The text is clean and bright. The dust jacket is unclipped and fully intact with no stains or tears. A lovely copy of O' Brien's fifth novel published a year after his death. The book was written in the late 1930s but failed to find a publisher. O'Brien withdrew it from circulation and it was only sent to MacGibbon & Kee after his death by his widow.
