Description: First edition, 1949. 2 volumes. No 58 of 350 copies signed by the poet on the limitation page. Printed on custom-made Glastonbury ivory toned antique paper. During the last years of his life, Yeats worked meticulously on revising the text of this, the considered 'definitive' edition of his poems, including signing the limitation pages. His sudden death in 1939 and the outbreak of the Second World War delayed publication until 1949. With the publisher's prospectus laid in. 

Condition: The slipcase is a little scuffed and rubbed at the corners. Both volumes have a little browning at the top and base of the spine but otherwise the boards are clean and bright. The text block is very fresh and bright with no marks or stains apart from a few faint spots to the edge of volume II. Overall, a very pleasing copy in very good++ condition.
