In publisher's blue boards which are clean and bright with lettering in gilt to spine and blind stamped design to front. The contents are clean and bright with no foxing or marks apart from 'Hubert C Lang, Mar 1930' written in ink on the f.e.p. In striking Carroll C Snell designed wrapper which is not price-clipped. Some light wear to the extremities and a 1 cm closed tear to the back. A lovely copy of Bowen's masterpiece about an Anglo Irish family in county Cork trying to carry on as normal while the war of Independence unfold around them.
