A Chronicle of Golden Friars | Sheridan Le Fanu

Description: This is a very rare edition of what is considered one of the best collections of supernatural tales by le Fanu. In original green boards with design and lettering in gilt. There are a couple of small stains to the front and the spine is a little faded but the lettering is still clear. The binding is tight and the hinges are strong. Internally, the pages are clean and unmarked apart from a little marginalia in pencil on the contents page. With illustrations by Brinsley Le Fanu and John O'Tea, this is a very nice copy of a rare book.
